Director: Reina Otsu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hello. My name is Reina Otsu and I will be serving as the director for the Beginner 1 committee this year! In JMMUN, I have one year of experience as a Press member, and this will be my third time chairing. Other than MUN, I am also in dance club as well as ESS in which we play English musicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my impression, this year’s beginner 1 topic, gender minority, is often avoided as a topic of discussion as it is a \u201csensitive\u201d subject. However, just because an issue is so, that doesn\u2019t mean it should be treated as a private matter and left alone; it\u2019s important that we discuss it together. I hope this conference will be fruitful for all delegates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haruna Takishima<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hi! My name is Haruna Takishima and I will be serving as the director for the Beginner 1 committee this year! I am in my second year of high school at Senzoku Gakuen, and I have been in the school\u2019s MUN club for four years. Other than the MUN club, I am also in the Rhythmic gymnastics club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s beginner 1 topic, gender minority, can be an interesting topic to discuss. I hope that this conference will allow all delegates to discover new perspectives by thinking about the issues around gender minorities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
