Hi! My name is Momona Miwa, and I am truly honored to serve you as the Secretary-General for JMMUN 2026.
I am currently in my second year of high school and have been part of the Model United Nations for several years. I have also been involved in JMMUN for the past three years, serving as a member of the press team as well as a chair for Beginner 2 at JMMUN 2024 and Advanced at JMMUN 2025.
Outside of MUN, I am a member of the tennis club. I also spent part of my life in the UK, which is my second favorite country in the world. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and traveling to new places.
I believe JMMUN is not only a great opportunity to deepen our understanding of global issues but also a chance to challenge ourselves and grow as individuals. I hope all of you will find this conference both valuable and enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi everyone! Welcome to JMMUN. My name is Risa Miki, and I will be serving as the Deputy Secretary-General for JMMUN 2026. I am absolutely honored to welcome you all to this conference. I am a junior at Senzoku Gakuen, and I have been involved in the school\u2019s Model United Nations club for around five years. I have been involved in JMMUN for two years, serving as a chair for Intermediate 2 (HRC) at JMMUN 2024, and a director for Intermediate 1 (ILO) at JMMUN 2025. Aside from my interest in mun, I have a passion for music and dance! JMMUN is a place where delegates come together from all over the world and it sparks lots of conversations and bonds both inside and outside of each committee. I would definitely recommend that delegates take this chance to step out of their comfort zone at this conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Remi Tamoto, and I will be serving as the Head of Press for JMMUN 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am currently in my second year of high school at Senzoku Gakuen, and I have been participating in MUN for about five years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hello, my name is Maho, and I am honored to serve as the Deputy Head of Press for JMMUN 2026. Having lived in the United States for six years and the UAE for two, I have spent nearly half of my life abroad. These experiences have shaped me into someone who appreciates diverse cultures and enjoys building connections with people from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Outside of MUN, I am an active member of my school\u2019s rhythmic gymnastics club. In my free time, I love shopping and spending time with my dog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I am excited to contribute to JMMUN 2026 and look forward to working with all of you.<\/p>\n<\/div> JMMUN 2026 is moving our conference into its second decade. We are proud to be 100% student-led, and our team continues to put in efforts to refine and improve the delegate experience. The leaders of this year\u2019s conference have committed to raising the issues that will matter most in 2026: from the economic stability of the globe to the treatment of people displaced in tumult of conflict and climate, every committee is focused on seeing the challenges of a continually unstable world as solvable through cooperation. The dais encourage delegates to take center stage and control their committees with thoughtful and charged debate. It is a continued honor that so many schools from Japan and abroad have put their faith in the professionalism of our student team. As an advisor, I hope you will reach out if you have any concerns, and I have my full faith in the professionalism and promptness of our student team. Have a great conference! <\/p>\n\n\n\n This conference marks my sixth serving as press advisor to Senzoku’s Model United Nations (MUN) program and the JMMUN conference. Each year has brought higher and higher levels of ambition, sophistication, and dedication from our students in the planning and staging of conference events. Watching junior high and high school students each year delve so deeply into complex issues that may define their adult lives and futures leaves me awestruck. The wealth of evidence and understanding that they marshal together in such a short time thoroughly impresses me. MUN participation makes global citizens capable of crossing national boundaries and cultural barriers, demanding that they step outside their classrooms to examine objectively the demands and data of different lands and the vantage points of different eyes. In the process, they confront preconceived notions about other cultures and develop greater capacity for empathy. I hope this year’s delegates find the \u201cmomentum\u201d to forge ahead with making the world safer, healthier, and more humane place. MUN works best when it encourages different peoples to realize they are integral parts of one humanity. Given all that MUN represents, I am thrilled to be a part of this year\u2019s conference and the JMMUN Press team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n<\/div> It is my pleasure to be part of the 2026 JMMUN team. This is the fourth time I have had the privilege of being involved with the Model United Nations conference at Senzoku. Each year I have been profoundly impressed by the dedication and hard work of those involved; in particular I admire the efforts of the more experienced members to nurture and encourage the involvement of the newest recruits. The JMMUN is an invaluable opportunity to learn more about the world around you and to think about how to solve the myriad of problems that face the global community. The theme for this year\u2019s conference, \u201cMomentum\u201d, will hopefully inspire participants to do their utmost to improve the global situation in the future. On a more personal note, I enjoy being active and participating in as many outdoor activities as possible, especially snowboarding. I lived in Australia from the ages of two to five, and in India from nine to eleven. Altogether, I spent about five years of my childhood abroad, and those experiences played an important role in shaping who I am today.
Outside of MUN, I\u2019m a member of the dance club, and I enjoy watching Netflix and hanging out with friends in my free time.

I have been involved in MUN for five years, with three years of experience on the Press team.
