Meet the Chairs!
Director: Rio Yamaoka
Hi!! My name is Rio Yamaoka, and I will be the director for the Beginner 2 committee at JMMUN 2026. I am currently a second-year student at Senzoku Gakuen High School and have been part of our MUN club for about five years. I first attended JMMUN as a delegate in 2024, and chaired the ILO committee last year. In addition to the MUN club, I am also a member of the volleyball club.
This year, our committee will be focusing on the topic of “Strengthening Long-Term Support for Asylum-Seekers.” Rather than only addressing short-term relief, I hope our discussions will consider sustainable forms of support that can better respond to the challenges asylum-seekers face. I look forward to meeting everyone and exchanging ideas in March!

Hello, I’m Sae Kanazono, and I’m glad to be chairing the Beginner 2 committee in JMMUN this year. I have been one of the delegates in JMMUN for the past two years, and it is my first time chairing. I really look forward to hearing wonderful discussions!
