Meet the Chairs!
Director: Reina Otsu
Hello. My name is Reina Otsu and I will be serving as the director for the Beginner 1 committee this year! In JMMUN, I have one year of experience as a Press member, and this will be my third time chairing. Other than MUN, I am also in dance club as well as ESS in which we play English musicals.
In my impression, this year’s beginner 1 topic, gender minority, is often avoided as a topic of discussion as it is a “sensitive” subject. However, just because an issue is so, that doesn’t mean it should be treated as a private matter and left alone; it’s important that we discuss it together. I hope this conference will be fruitful for all delegates.

Hello, my name is Niina Nakamura, and I’m very honored to be the chair for the Beginner 1 committee. I hope this conference will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all delegates. I’m excited to meet all of you and to hear the ideas you’ll bring to our committee!
Haruna Takishima
Hi! My name is Haruna Takishima and I will be serving as the director for the Beginner 1 committee this year! I am in my second year of high school at Senzoku Gakuen, and I have been in the school’s MUN club for four years. Other than the MUN club, I am also in the Rhythmic gymnastics club.
This year’s beginner 1 topic, gender minority, can be an interesting topic to discuss. I hope that this conference will allow all delegates to discover new perspectives by thinking about the issues around gender minorities!
